Fyre festival 2: Tickets and packages announced for Isla Mujeres reboot
Billy McFarland, the convicted fraudster behind 2017’s failed Fyre Festival, has revealed details for its reboot this summer.
The festival is set to take place on Isla Mujeres, Mexico, from May 30 to June 2, 2025 with a social post announcing: “Fyre Festival 2 is real.”
McFarland acknowledged scepticism about the revival but insisted he and his team have carefully planned this edition. He described the event as an opportunity for “adventure seekers” to be part of history and thanked his partners for giving him a second chance.
Tickets are now on sale, with a luxury “Prometheus” package priced at $1.1 million for an exclusive eight-person experience. Other ticket options range from $25,000 for high-end packages to $1,400 for general access, with accommodation not included.
Despite the announcement, concerns remain.
Andy King, an investor who lost $1 million in the original festival, warned potential attendees to be cautious. He expressed doubts about the new event, saying he sees “red flags” and fears McFarland is making the same mistakes again.
