Mile high club: Boeing 727 to open as nightclub in Brazil

Reimagining the concept of the “mile high club,” a nightclub is set to emerge in Brazil, housed within the decommissioned fuselage of a Boeing 727-200.

Dubbed JETSET, this upcoming venue will find its home within the vibrant dance music hub of Surreal Park in Camboriú.

Promising more than just music, JETSET aims to offer an immersive experience under the guidance of Renato Ratier, the founder, owner, and resident DJ of D-Edge, who assumes the role of “captain” for this innovative endeavor.

Currently undergoing refurbishment at Afonso Pena International Airport, the aircraft is undergoing a meticulous “chroming process” and lighting installations in preparation for its new incarnation.

Maintaining its original aviation aesthetics, the nightclub will boast a deck, runway, bar, and elevated observation points on the aircraft’s wings.

The Boeing 727-200, known for accommodating up to 189 passengers spans 46.68 meters in length and serves as the perfect vessel for this unique nightlife experience.

Production details for JETSET’s launch lineup are yet to be unveiled, but Surreal Park has previously hosted renowned acts such as ANNA, Amelie Lens, Joseph Capriati, Seth Troxler, and Carl Cox.

Boarding will commence in summer 2024.
