Avicii Forever: New 19-track posthumous album set for release in May

A new posthumous album from Avicii, titled AVICII FOREVER, is due for release on May 16 via Interscope Records and Pophouse Entertainment. The 19-track collection includes key works from his catalogue alongside unreleased material.

The announcement was accompanied by the release of a new single, Let’s Ride Away, featuring US artist Elle King. This marks one of the newly completed tracks included on the upcoming compilation.

In recent months, posthumous releases of Avicii’s music have faced public scrutiny.

In February, long-time collaborator Sandro Cavazza raised concerns over the release of Forever Yours – Tim’s 2016 Ibiza Version, which features his vocals. He clarified that he had not approved the track’s release as a single.

Cavazza explained that he had only consented to the demo version being part of a live album from Avicii’s final show. He also noted that he had declined repeated requests from the Avicii family and Pinguettes Recordings to release more unreleased material, out of respect for the late producer’s creative intent.
